One of the most frequent and popular usage areas of Bulk Clone for Jira is around Test Management. Since some time back we have had support to Bulk Clone Test entities for 3:rd party Test plugins like Zephyr and xRay.
Lately we have noticed increased requests for a more advanced integration and usage with xRay, so we decided to take this one step further and support complete “Rebuild” of Test hierarchies of Test Plan(s), Test Set(s), Test Pre-Condition(s), Test Execution(s) and its associated Test Cases. In addition we also have added a feature to do a “bare bone” Rebuild of these hierarchies, meaning that the associations can be skipped but the Rebuild of the hierarchies will still happen.
So starting with a simple example query like this; “Key in (XT-5, XT-540) OR Key in testExecutionTests(XT-5) OR Key in testExecutionTests(XT-540)”, and then go ahead and enable the various cloning options for xRay on the main Bulk Clone options screen, the rest is straightforward, Perhaps you´re creating a complete new “testbed” which you then can alter its output result and redirect to a separate Jira project, all in 1 Bulk Clone operation, “that´s power for ya”
